De Vries Restaurant by Hofman Dujardin Architects

De Vries Restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This project has an intimate design that makes good use of its small space. The interior design by Hofman Dujardin Architects is casual contemporary. The narrow and deep floor space is divided into three zones.

Each zone has its own atmosphere and quality. The front part with the bar is high and royal with a direct relation to the street, the middle area is low and intimate and the back area has a cosy ambiance with a large table located next to the open kitchen.

The specific atmospheres are created by the different heights of the spaces and the use of a unique wallpaper on the ceilings and the walls in each zone. The black furniture, the luminous walls, the lightning and the wooden floor create a unity in the lunch restaurant.
